Penn is the latest school to eliminate loans from financial aid awards. The California Institute of Technology is eliminating loans for domestic students whose familys’ incomes are less than $60,000. This new program will become effective for undergraduates entering next fall.
Swarthmore College will eliminate student loans in its financial aid packages and replace them with scholarships beginning next academic year.
